Can’t get to the library? We are where you are! Our Bookmobile — a full-service mobile branch of our library — provides scheduled stops around the community at convenient locations around town, such as Target, IKEA and Best Buy.

At our Bookmobile, you can:

  • Sign up for a library card
  • Check out popular materials for all ages, including regular and large print books, audiobooks, movies, video games, Memory Care Kits, Wi-Fi hotspots and Rokus — AND IT’S ALL FREE!
  • Speak with an outreach staff member to get reading recommendations, reference services and more
  • Return and renew books
  • Pick up your holds

Every month we provide a different program on the Bookmobile, so make sure to join us this Winter for some fun activities and cool prizes for the entire family.

Winter Fun on The Bookmobile

December

December is the month of giving. Help us collect items for our Micro Pantry by visiting the Bookmobile at one of our community stops with a non-perishable food item during the month of December. Enjoy a treat from us to thank you for your warm generosity! Visit our events calendar to see where to find the Bookmobile.

January

January is a great month to get into hygge! Hygge is a Danish word that emphasizes warmth, coziness and well-being. Stop by the Bookmobile for a mini hygge kit to get you started. Grab a book and a comfy blanket, and enjoy a hygge experience.

We’re Seeing Stars on the Bookmobile!
Saturday, January 14, 10 a.m.– 2 p.m.
Target, 1138 West Boughton Road

Join us for fun astronomy activities, giveaways and an “out of this world” craft on the Bookmobile. We’ll also have books and movies about black holes, constellations, astronauts and the solar system. If you want to explore the stars even more, check out our ScienceFlix or World Book Discover eResources to find a galaxy of information on space science.

February

February is National Bird Feeding Month! Birds are fascinating creatures! Did you know crows remember faces, a bird’s bones are hollow to help them fly and chickens are related to the Tyrannosaurus Rex? Check out our bird book display for more bird trivia, and enter the raffle for your chance to win a cool bird feeder.
