Our Bookmobile is a full-service mobile branch of our library. Did you know the Bookmobile can hold approximately 3000 books? We have a diverse collection with items for everyone:

  • Adult fiction, mystery, romance, nonfiction, magazines and movies
  • Teen graphic novels and new releases
  • Children’s board books, early readers, graphic novels, nonfiction, movies, Vox readalong books and video games
  • Spanish children’s books
  • And so much more!

We also carry new releases and best sellers, and our materials can’t be put on hold, so you might find a book that you’ve been waiting for. One of the best things about borrowing items from the Bookmobile is that you get them for 4 weeks. Yes, even the Rokus and Hotspots!

Wait, I can do WHAT on the Bookmobile?

More than Books

But the Bookmobile has more than just books! You can also apply for a library card and request to pick up your holds on the Bookmobile. In addition to a robust collection of popular materials, our new Bookmobile boasts bench seats, Wi-Fi, a wheelchair lift and a 75-inch TV under a 20-foot awning on the exterior.

Library Cards

Wait, I can do WHAT on the Bookmobile?

Fountaindale Public Library cards are free to residents within our district boundaries. If you need a new or replacement card, we can help you with that on the Bookmobile.

New cards require two forms of identification, one of which must be a photo ID listing your current address. Renewals and replacements only require a single photo ID listing your current address. View our list of acceptable forms of identification.

Memory Care Kits

Wait, I can do WHAT on the Bookmobile?

Memory care kits are intended for caregivers who help people with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or a brain injury. The kits include items that encourage conversations and spark fond memories, a caregiver’s guide, conversation starters and helpful tips and resources.

You can place a hold on a Memory Care Kit and select Outreach as the Pickup Library. We will hold it for you on the Bookmobile so you can pick it up at one of our community stops.

Tech to Go

We also have a selection of tech items that can be checked out. Like our books, these items cannot be put on hold. They are first come first served.
