Are you a middle or high school student in Bolingbrook? We know you’ve been challenged by your teachers to read this summer, and we’ve got you covered! Check out the information below, or visit the Vortex on the 2nd Floor to grab the books you need.
Middle School Summer Reading Challenge
Choose books that are of interest to you, keep track of your reading and complete different reading tasks all summer long! Your teachers have created recommended book lists for you (see below), but you’re free to choose any book you like. Check out vvsd.org for more information.
Middle school students have also been challenged to read Ghost by Jason Reynolds and share their experience with someone from the community. If you need a copy of the book, you can find copies in our catalog.
Bolingbrook High School
Bolingbrook High School students need to read two books this summer. Your first book should come from these books below (according to the grade you’re starting this fall). Click a book cover to find a copy in our catalog. Your second book is up to you! To help you choose, here’s a list of 100 Recommended Books with Lexile scores, provided by your school. For full assignment details, please review the packet provided by your school or visit the Vortex on the 2nd Floor.
