We offer a robust collection of physical and digital books, movies, TV shows, video games, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks and more. Simply visit the library or Bookmobile to browse the shelves, or use our catalog to find items to check out.
Pinnacle Library Cooperative—a partnership with Joliet, Lemont, Plainfield, Shorewood-Troy and White Oak libraries—allows patrons to request materials from all six libraries via our online catalog or mobile app and pick them up at our lobby, drive-thru window, Bookmobile or Holds Pickup Lockers. If you can’t find an item in our online catalog, you may request it from a library outside of Pinnacle through our Interlibrary Loan service.
Loan periods vary depending on the type of material and lending library.
*Some Studio 300 equipment can only be used inside the library and circulates for four hours.
In order to give patrons access to popular materials, the following items have a limit on how many can be checked out to your account at one time:

You can place items on hold through the catalog and select a pickup location: Fountaindale Library – Bolingbrook (lobby shelf), Fountaindale Library – Drive-Thru Window (drive-thru window), Fountaindale Library – Outreach (Bookmobile), Fountaindale Library – Lockers (On-Site) or Fountaindale Library – Lockes (BRAC) (Holds Pickup Lockers). You can also choose to pick up your holds from another Pinnacle member library.
New and popular items may have longer wait times. If the item you request won’t be ready for checkout right away, we can notify you by phone, email or text message when it’s ready. You can change your contact preference in your account settings.
Our Circulation team will place the item on our materials pickup shelf in our lobby unless you select to pick it up from the Bookmobile, drive-thru window or Holds Pickup Lockers. If you’re picking up your holds from the drive-thru window, please call 630.759.2102 to ensure your materials are ready.
If your item is eligible for renewal and no one else is waiting for it, we will automatically renew it for you up to two times, depending on the material type. If you want to renew an item before the automatic renewal date, log in to your account or contact us at 630.759.2102 or help@fountaindale.org.
If there is a hold on the item or you’ve reached your renewal limit, you will not be able to renew the item. Additionally, your items will not automatically renew if your account is blocked. You will receive an email or text message (depending on your notification preference) three days before your item is due to let you know if the item was automatically renewed or if it is almost due.

Items borrowed through our Interlibrary Loan service require approval from the lending library before they can be renewed. Please contact us before the item’s due date to request additional time.
You can return library materials at the automated return kiosks in our lobby and drive-thru window, at the 1st Floor Circulation Desk, on the Bookmobile and Express Van or at the Holds Pickup Lockers at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex. We also have book drops to the left of our entrance, in our parking lot near the drive-thru window and at two off-site locations. You may also return your materials to any Pinnacle library. If you return materials to a library outside of the Pinnacle system, they will stay checked out until they return to us.
Please note: Studio 300 equipment, eReaders, Rokus, Hotspots, American Girl and Barbie Dolls, STEAMboxes, vinyl records and portable record players must be returned to the service desk where you checked out the material. Fountaindale canvas bags and backpacks should not be returned through the drive-thru or automated returns in the lobby. Please return bags to a staff member or book drop.
