This fall, Fountaindale Public Library’s Children’s Department is the place to be! In addition to our Storytimes and usual programming, we are offering a new type of program: FAMILY EVENTS!
A Family Event is a program that is aimed at children but meant for children and their adults to participate in together. A great example of this is our first family event this season: the FPLD Family Foosball World Cup on Saturday, September 9 at 2 p.m.
In this program, families will work together to create a small, portable foosball table that will then be used to have the families challenge each other tournament-style!
Family Events require patrons to reach out to our children’s staff to register. This can be done by calling our desk at 630.685.4181 or emailing us at csd@fountaindale.org. When contacting us, please provide your library card number and a headcount of who in your family will be attending, including all adults, children and even teens who will be joining us.
While waiting for this program, check out these titles about soccer and foosball:
Remember to keep an eye out for more Family Events in the upcoming months, including a special bilingual family concert in October.
