Our Children’s Department is excited to continue offering Family Programs this winter season! These family events are programs that are aimed at children but meant for children and their adults to participate in together. Join us at one of these unique, fun events for families. Family Trivia
Monday, January 15, 3 p.m.
Challenge yourself and other families on your movie knowledge! This family-friendly trivia game will end with everyone feeling like a winner! (Grades K–5 with an adult)

Reading is Magic!
Sunday, January 21, 1 p.m.
Enjoy an entertaining magic show by Zack Percell of TnZ Magic. This show blends comedy, visual magic, escape artistry and more! (Grades K–5 with an adult)

Winter Reading Challenge
January is also the start of our Winter Reading Challenge for babies through kids in fifth grade. Pick up a game board from Children’s Services and earn prizes as you complete challenge activities. Here are some family-friendly challenges to look forward to:
Activities worth two points:
- Make a dessert
- Try a new flavor of soup
- Read a book that includes a recipe; make the recipe for two bonus points!
- Read a book that was made into a movie; watch the movie for two bonus points!
For five points: build a blanket fort, then read inside of it
And don’t forget to give yourself three points for every library program you attend!
