During our strategic planning process, we asked you, our patrons, “What is the greatest value the public library provides to you and your family?” The theme that emerged from your answers was that our library is a place to achieve many different goals and aspirations. Inspired by your love for our building, we designed a logo that visually represents our space and instantly connects you to the library.
To celebrate our new style and National Library Week, we’ve got a few exciting activities in store, including:
- Get a new library card or trade in your current card. The first 200 people to get our new library card will receive a newly branded Fountaindale canvas bag.
- Pick up a new library cardholder keychain in our lobby or Bookmobile.
- Visit the Children’s Services Desk by Sunday, April 30 to guess how many M&M’s are in the jar. All ages can guess, and the winner will receive the jar of M&M’s.
- Join us on Wednesday, April 26 from 2 to 4 p.m., for National Library Outreach Day. Tour our Outreach vehicles, meet our staff and enjoy storytimes and brand-new giveaways. You’ll event get to meet Bluey from the popular children’s TV show.
- Enter our all-ages bookmark design contest through Monday, May 15. Entries will be separated into three age groups: 12 and under, 13–17 and 18 and older. The winning bookmark design in each age group will be printed and distributed throughout the library, while supplies last. Download our entry form, pick one up from a service desk or the Bookmobile or submit your artwork below.
