Did you know that we offer several community storytimes at off-site locations in addition to the storytimes in the library? You didn’t? Then read on and get the inside scoop on why and where you and your child should attend a community storytime! Storytimes provide many benefits to children and their families:

  • Develop early literacy and reading skills by introducing kids to books, language and vocabulary.
  • Spark kids’ imagination and improve their creativity.
  • Learn songs, fingerplays, movements and nursery rhymes that can be enjoyed at home.
  • Stories and reading help children understand the world around them.
  • Create opportunities for kids and other families to socialize.
  • Storytime is FUN! We sing silly songs, play games and dance in a safe and fun environment!
