On Monday, April 8, a solar eclipse will be visible across North America, including parts of Illinois. With your Fountaindale library card, you can sign up to receive an eclipse viewer provided by Adler Planetarium and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Quantities are limited. Signup begins Monday, March 18, and you can pick up your viewer at the Circulation Desk starting Monday, March 25.

DIY Eclipse Viewers
Wednesday, April 3, 6–7 p.m.
Grades K–5 with an adult
No eclipse glasses? No problem! Stop by Children’s Services to learn how to make a pin-hole eclipse viewer so you can watch the April 8 eclipse as a family! Drop in; no registration required. This event is meant for children and an adult to participate in together.
