Amazon Fire tablets are high-performance eReaders that are preloaded with an extensive collection of popular adult and teen eBooks. In addition, we’ve included apps for our premier digital platforms, including Libby, hoopla, Boundless, Biblioboard, PressReader, Kanopy and Freegal Music.

Borrowing Fire Tablets:
- Adults and teens in grades 6–12 need a Fountaindale Public Library card to borrow an Amazon Fire tablet.
- Visit the 2nd Floor Service Desk to check out or pick up a tablet on hold. Teens can also visit the Vortex to check one out.
- You can borrow one Fire tablet per card at a time.
- You can place one hold per card at a time.
- The loan period for the Fire tablets is 21 days, and they are eligible for one renewal as long as no one has a hold on it.
- Fire tablets must be returned to the 2nd Floor Service Desk. Teens can return tablets to the Vortex.
- A $25 fee will be assessed if returned to any other desk or any of our book drops.
