While known most prominently for The Lord of the Rings trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien had an extensive library of other works. Released after his death, Letters from Father Christmas is a collection of beautifully crafted letters sent by “Father Christmas” to his children every year on Christmas between 1920 and 1943. Each one was written in a distinct wavy handwriting telling about Old Saint Nick and his friend the Great (Polar) Bear, with prose, drawing and a special stamp on each one. All of them are reproduced here with a transcription of the text. This classic festive book has been reworked into a new and attractive edition. It contains brand new high-quality digital reproductions of his amazing letters and pictures, including a number of them that have never been printed before.
