We’re excited to announce our new Student Success partnership with Valley View Community Unit School District 365U, in conjunction with White Oak Library District. This new initiative allows us to issue Student Success library cards to all Valley View students, providing a gateway to exploration and opening a world of lifelong learning and entertainment. This collaboration continues the tradition of successful partnerships between our organizations, building a sense of community and cooperation and meeting the needs of students in achieving their academic goals.
The Student Success library card provides the same access to books, movies and video games as a regular Fountaindale Public Library card. Students can check out materials in our building, at Bookmobile stops and at any other Pinnacle libraries in Joliet, Shorewood, Lemont, Plainfield, Crest Hill, Lockport and Romeoville.
The Student Success library card also gives students access to a treasure trove of eResources to get homework help, download or stream eBooks and movies with our digital collection and explore our maker lab and Studio 300, where they can create, design and share their story using state-of-the-art technology.
Between our library and White Oak Public Library District, more than 15,000 Student Success library cards were created and will soon be mailed to students.

Is this card ready to use?
Yes, you can use it as soon as you receive it. The default PIN is set to the first two digits of the month and the last two digits of the year of your child’s birthday. You should reset it to a PIN of your choice. You can do that by logging into your library account.
What if my child already has a Fountaindale Public Library card?
If your child already has a library card, it will be merged with the new Student Success library card. Your child should use the new Student Success library card, as the account for the old card will be deleted. If you prefer to revert to the old library card number, present your card at the library or Bookmobile, or call us at 630.759.2102.
Am I liable for fines on overdue materials? Lost materials?
Fountaindale Public Library is a fine-free library. That means you no longer have to pay daily late fines on items that are overdue. Lost materials will be billed to the parent/guardian.
Can I use my child’s Student Success card?
The Student Success library card is for the exclusive use of the child named on the back of the card. If you wish to obtain a card, please contact us at 630.759.2102 for more information or click here.
