This school year will look different for a lot of students, parents and teachers. Whether your children are remote learning, hybrid learning or you’ve decided to homeschool, we have a variety of resources that can help your child on their educational journey.
Get a Library Card
The first step is to get your Fountaindale Public Library card—it’s your most important back-to-school tool! Visit our get a library card page to check that you live in our district and to download and complete our library card application. Bring your application and proof of address to our building or the Bookmobile to get your card today. We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary, so you’ll have your choice of new and exciting library card designs!
If you have a library card, but need to reset your PIN, please click here. The reset email will be sent to the email address on file. If you need additional help, please call us at 630.759.2102.
We’re Fine Free! We no longer charge daily late fines on overdue items. Even though we no longer charge late fines, we encourage you to please return materials in a responsible and timely fashion so others may enjoy the shared resources we provide.

Spaces
We’ve adjusted our spaces around the library to help facilitate and maintain social distancing. The Vortex, our teen space, will remain closed for the foreseeable future, but students are welcome to reserve a study room located on the 3rd floor or use any open tables located on the 2nd or 3rd floors. If you have completed Studio 300 Orientation, you can reserve a group collaboration room by contacting Studio 300 at 630.685.4260 or studio300@fountaindale.org.
We’ve also moved our Vortex collection of young adult books, audiobooks and graphic novels out onto the 2nd floor right outside of the Vortex so you can still access this collection with ease.
Teacher Services
Our services are not just for students! Valley View teachers who teach in our district can apply for a library card and request materials for their classes, create eye-catching bulletin boards with our Ellison Dies, request our staff host a Zoom session with your class and much more.
