Return and Renew Materials

Renewing Materials

Library materials can typically be renewed twice. Any pending holds on an item will prohibit renewals. Interlibrary loans, e-readers, and Studio 300 equipment cannot be renewed.

You can renew materials in the following ways:

  • Contact the Circulation Department directly by calling 630-759-2102
  • Online by logging into Pinnacle under "My Account"
  • Stop by the Circulation Desk at the library
  • Call the automated renewal number at 815-740-0978
  • Visit the Bookmobile
  • Use a Self-Check station in the library
  • Use the library mobile app

Returning Materials

Library materials borrowed from the Fountaindale Public Library (including the Bookmobile) may be returned at any public library. Materials can be returned to the Bookmobile, a book drop, the drive-thru, the lobby return inside the building by the holds pickup area, or the Circulation Desk. If you return materials outside of the Pinnacle Library Cooperative, please be aware that these items will not be removed from your account until they reach us. PLEASE NOTE: ereaders and Studio 300 equipment must be returned to the checkout desk where the material was provided. The black Fountaindale canvas bags should NOT be returned through the drive-thru or automated return in the lobby. Please return bags to staff or book drops.


Library Book Drop Locations

The library offers four drop locations where patrons can return materials 24 hours a day. There is a book drop to the left of our front doors. Our newest book drop is in the library parking lot next to the drive-thru. Our other book drops are located at Ashburys, 355 E. Boughton Road in Bolingbrook and on the West Side at First Presbyterian Church, 180 N. Weber Road, across from Meijer. Materials from off-site drops are collected and brought back to the library daily.
