Who Can Have a Library Card?
Fountaindale Public Library cards are available free of charge to Bolingbrook residents who live in the Fountaindale Public Library District upon presentation of (2) two forms of identification that show your current Bolingbrook address within the district boundaries. One form of identification should be a photo ID. Please click here for a full list of acceptable forms.

How Do I Know if I Live in the District?
Your property tax bill is the ultimate guide as to your residency in the Fountaindale Public Library District. If you have questions about your tax bill or regarding District residency, please contact the Will County Clerk at 815-740-4615, or the DuPage County Election Commission at 630-407-5600. For a map to help make an approximate determination of District residency, click here. The Will County Clerk also offers an online Precinct Lookup that will show if your precinct includes Fountaindale under Elected Officials (Special Districts).
Applying for a Library Card
Please stop by one of the Circulation desks on the first floor and complete an application. You can also register for a library card on the Bookmobile. For your convenience, you can fill in and download the application below:
To start the registration process online, visit our online catalog and from the My Account drop down menu, select Login / Register, then click on Register Now. For more detailed instructions on how to do this, click here. Please note: registering online will provide you with a temporary card number that can be used to place holds on items, but you must complete the registration process and obtain a permanent Fountaindale Public Library card by coming to the library and visiting one of the Circulation desks on the first floor.
Renewing Your Library Card
Your card does not expire, however you will need to verify your address every three years. Simply bring your current Fountaindale Public Library card in addition to a photo ID to one of the Circulation desks on the first floor. Please click here for a full list of acceptable forms.
A one year address check is needed for businesses, property owners, and teachers.
Report a Lost Library Card
If you have lost your Fountaindale Library card, please contact us immediately. We will block your account until you come in to set-up a replacement card. There is no charge for a replacement card. You will be responsible for any materials checked out on a lost card that is not reported. The Circulation Department can be reached directly at 630-759-2102.
